There is quite a bit of debate on OXO-Biodegradable bags versus Compostable bags.

Here are the two biggest differences

1) Oxo Biodegradable bags are made from polyethylene ( Plastic )and do not meet the ASTM D6400 standards as far as being compostable.

2) Compostable bags ( often called "BIO Plastic" bags that are  ASTM D6400 approved are made from vegetable fats, oils and corn starch.

We currently carry the OXO degradable bags and by summer 2014 we will offer a Compostable bags for those who prefer it or have to meet any local landfill requirements for Compostable waste.
